Is it possible to cry yourself sick?

I've been crying pretty much nonstop for the last 48 hours because I had to put a pet to sleep. Today I woke up with a urinary tract infection and I feel better now, but I have a fever of 100.8, aches, and skin and ear sensitivity which I usually get when I am coming down with something.
